Patches

Dreamcast patches in .dcp format. They change your own copy of a game; they are not the game itself.

How to apply a .dcp patchUniversal Dreamcast Patcher · Windows, Linux, macOS
  1. Get Universal Dreamcast Patcher. Download the latest version from its releases page. It runs on Windows, Linux and macOS.
  2. Have your own disc image ready. A dump of the original disc as .gdi, .cue (with its .bin files) or .chd. It must be the same version as the patch says under "Apply to" (region, GDI / Redump).
  3. Download the patch (the .dcp file) from the list below. Some games have one patch per connection: take Modem if you play with the Dreamcast modem (DreamPi), Serial if you use a serial / coder's cable.
  4. Open Universal Dreamcast Patcher. The Apply Patch tab is already selected. Click Browse next to Source disc image and pick your .gdi / .cue / .chd, then Browse next to Patch file and pick the .dcp.
  5. Choose where it goes. Pick an Output folder, and under Patched disc image format choose GDI (GDEMU and most optical drive emulators, Flycast, Redream), CUE/BIN or CHD.
  6. Click Apply Patch. The patched game is written to a new folder inside your output folder, named after the patch with the format in brackets, for example … [GDI]. Copy that to your SD card or load it in your emulator.

Error while patching? Your disc image is almost always a different version than the patch was made for: check the region and the dump (TOSEC GDI or Redump CUE/BIN). Keep your original image; the patcher writes a new copy.
